I finally made it to Lodge 3 Bed VIP in North Wales after what felt like the scenic route from hell. I'd set off from Shropshire early doors, buzzing about this three-day getaway, sat-nav primed for Oswestry rural. I honked like a loon, it stared back with those mad eyes, and I ended up reversing half a mile with hedges scraping the wing mirrors. Classic me, turning a 45-minute drive into a two-hour farce. By the time I pulled up to the lodge, I was fuming, covered in crisp crumbs from stress-munching, and questioning my life choices.
