I finally made it to Liongate Lodge after a bit of a faff on the drive up from Cheshire. I'd set off bright and early, or so I thought, only to realise halfway there that I'd left my phone charger at home – classic me, always forgetting the one thing that keeps me connected. No bother, though; it meant I actually paid attention to the winding lanes instead of doom-scrolling, and by the time I trundled into Tattenhall, I was already in holiday mode.
