Halfway round, the heavens opened once more, wind whipping rain sideways. I hunkered under a tree, munching a flapjack, pondering life's little ironies: here I was, a city lad craving nature's embrace, only for it to give me a right soaking. This place is a walker’s dream, weather be damned. Shropshire's unpredictable showers just made the sunny spells sweeter, turning every hike into an adventure.
