Popped out for a quick shufti – Ryde's beach is spitting distance, all golden sands and lapping waves, with the pier just visible on the horizon. Grabbed fish and chips from a beach hut (proper greasy, vinegary perfection), and ate them back on the patio, salt in the air, feeling that gentle island magic sink in.
